Nope...it was about arguably the best manager in the big leagues during the 70's and 80's. Torre owned the 90's and early 2000's...I dunno who owns the most recent 6-8 years.
I can't believe he was only 76. He looked that old 20 years ago.
He was the same age as my dad. I remember in the mid 70's being amazed at how much older he looked than dad.
Rip Sparky. One of baseball's best.

I remember as a kid thinking "WOW this guy is old how can he still manage". I had no idea he was only 76.
He was a truely a great manager, RIP Sparky.
