I voted for a Democrat, but it was a judge race and in Orleans Parish your only choice is Democrats. I voted for the Libertarian in the Senate race also, so I guess he'll have 2 votes.

Never said it didn't. I was saying that the midterm election in 2006 was the turning point when Dems took control. That was when the country began to send a message to Reps that they wanted things to change. The 2008 election was reaffirmation of that in that they feared McCain would be "4 more years" of GWB. (and Obama had a few other historical factors on his side)

Now the country has spoken again with even louder resound that they want a different kind of change than what they have been experiencing. They are not looking for right or left wing antics. They want to be heard and governed according their wishes. Hopefully the Reps will learn this time. As I have said previsouly, the political pendulum always overswings every couple election cycles. We saw it with Clinton, Bush, and now Obama.
