Both coach RBs at their respective schools. It would appear that Gundy > Applewhite, yes?

Coach Cale is awesome. I have been at several road games when he stands around after the game and says "thank you" to all of the Sooner fans that made the trip.

Apparently my football expertise is lacking. Why do these quarterbacks become running back coaches?

Mainly from being experts at play dynamics and positioning. Who knows better where a player is suppposed to line-up or hold his hands and body positioning a certain way than the guy that hands the ball off.

Question: UT has lacked stars at the RB position for some time. Even Charles only showed flashes of greatness and was never a solid player. But how is that possible with UT's recruiting? Haven't they brought in some super preps at that position? Or is that one position where their recruiting is less than stellar?

Charles is playing in the NFL right now. he can't be too bad...

I think he only had one good season at UT. If nothing else, that lends credence to the notion that UT is not doing a good job of coaching RBs.
