Now if they could just make a controller I could plug into my laptop...life would be grand.

I'm sure most of us have seen the Angry Video Game Nerd, but for those that haven't, it always provides good laughs and highlights all the crappy games out there.

Most videos do contain pretty strong language, just FYI.

I love AVGN's review of Top Gun, when the landing sequence starts. "Uh oh, I'm ****ed now!"

You can actually buy one that's been converted to usb or google how to make one yourself.

Yeah. I have emulators I use with a Logitech gamepad, but I was thinking about getting the real controllers but haven't yet.

Now look into downloading emulators for nintendo, sega, etc.

It's nice when you can play any one of hundreds or even thousands of games for a system. With emulators we get to play some of those crazy games that came out in Japan for their Famicom/SNES and never came out here.

I actually have 900 Sega games on my pc and way more NES/SNES.

Would I be able to just plug that controller in and play?

So the emulator would get me more games?

With the emulator you can download all of the games ever released as "roms" and play them on your computer offline and full screen. Since you can save any game anywhere in the game it's actually even cooler than having the actual games.

Wait. So say I play the original Zelda or a Tecmo season It won't save?

I don't know what it does on that site, but with the emulator you can save in the middle of a game without any save point...Like in the middle of world 7-2 on Super Mario or something or at halftime of a tecmo game by selecting "save state" or something similar depending on the emulator.

Yep. The save states are like you never turned the system off. It's great for tough as nails games with no passwords (Ninja Gaiden, I'm talking to you!).

The battery games like Zelda also work the same way they did on the real console if you want to do it that way for nostalgia purposes.

I downloaded the NES Emulator and each year I download Super Tecmo Bowl with the latest rosters. My son loves playing these each year.
