Sam Bradford has thrown for 11 touchdowns in his first 8 games as a rookie which ties Dan Marino, Peyton Manning and Ben(I wanna do your sister) Roethlisberger as the most by a Rookie in their first 8 games since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970

He's also the first #1 pick QB in the Super Bowl era to win 4 of his first 5 home games during his rookie season.

What is the most by a rookie in the season? Does he have a chance to get there?

I saw that stat and I think it is more impressive than what Roethlisberger or Marino did. Those guys landed on very good teams since they went lower in the 1st round. Manning was also a #1 pick, so I assume the Colts were lousy the previous year too.

Remember this?

CP3 might not be making a huge splash in the WNBA (her team folded, not much she can do about that), I'd love to see the athletic department do a tribute version with Sammie and BG holding up their Rookie of the Year trophies or something :)

3-13 I believe. They were bad.

P.Manning threw 26TDs as a rookie,so Sam needs to pick up the pace.

Sam Bradford will be as good in the NFL as he was in the NCAAs.

Packer expert had Sam at 37:2 odds and Ryan Matthews as a lock for ROTY.

Sam Bradford, St. Louis (37:2) – It’s going to be incredibly difficult for Bradford to put up statistics similar to Matt Ryan did as a rookie. Saint Louis is simply a bad team, and Bradford isn’t ready for the NFL game yet. We also still have questions regarding his arm strength, toughness, durability and the ability to handle adversity at the next level because he never had any at Oklahoma. Still, he’s the only starting quarterback in the rookie class at the moment barring a (likely) holdout.

Trent is crying in the photo because his kid died of cancer. Just an FYI.

Sam and the Rams post a Victory over Carolina too.

Should be interesting to see if he wins Week 8 after also winning Week 4.

No one has repeated in a week as of yet.

That sounds like a preseason prediction... unless players now holdout during the middle of the season

The one guys was from August. I thought I mentioned that.

Yeah I just rechecked that one....it's from May. Just pointing out how all these "Experts" didn't give him a chance.

I'm sorry to hear that. I honestly don't keep up with Trent Dilfer's personal life and had no idea.

I just picked up the pic from a blog and it seemed appropriate.

I had no idea. Thanks for pointing that out.

On a brighter note, Sam is freakin' awesome. I'm still amazed by his third down statistics. Unreal and that really says a lot to me. (He's 5th in the league with a rating of 101.1.)
