I brought leftover Halloween candy into work today - all of the chocolate disappears and all that's left is the Starbust (little packages with two packaged candies inside). Adults are soooo much more choosy on Halloween candy than adults!

Thanks to my 5 year old cutie, and fewer trick-or-treaters than last year--we now have a humongous bowl of candy in the kitchen. All the good stuff, this is a nice neighborhood, my neighbors are the shiznit. We got the full size, Costco box candy bars from them--enough chocolate to get thru a sorority house's PMS week, and all kinds of sweet/sour stuff, which I frickin' love. The Fun Dip, with the pure sugar dipping stick, the Blow-Pops, the Nerds, you name it. I look at that bowl and see an extra 12 pounds on my caboose, but it's SOOOOO hard to stay away!!! I think I'll just give it to my 12 year old and tell him to hide it. Except he'd prolly keep it all and not share with his sister. And if she hides it, I'll find it, she's 5, can't hide worth ****. GRRRR!!! Oh well, where did I put those stretchy pants?!?!??!

p.s. My girl--told ya she was cute!!! We had a blast, and wow, did she love wearing that makeup. I think we may be in big trouble in a few years...

We had a lot of witches and princesses come to the door. We had a Drew Brees (very cute), a kindergartener in the Scream outfit complete with plastic dagger, but the most impressive had to be a preteen on a fully-blown up chicken doll like he was riding it. Lol. For the most part, a lot of samey. Wish costumes were more creative like they used to be.

The best costume I saw was on an older kid. He was a taco. Big shell and everything! His mamma is obviously very creative. There were a ton of Scream kids, which I'm not sure is all that appropriate for a 4 year old, some disco girls, the cutest dinosaur I've ever seen, and a teen aged slutty nun. To her credit, she was escorting either her little brother or illegitimate child, and she was very polite.
