I wouldn't take it exactly as him saying he's coming back.

"Oh, I know I've got another year left," he said.

Sounds like it to me but allot can change by January.

I'll believe it when he forgoes the draft.

The smart players always say stuff like this just to keep the reporters from constantly asking. Broyles is a smart player. I have no doubt he'll seriously consider his options once the season is over.

The problem is that he won't be a typical WR in the NFL. He'll be more of a Wes Welker slot type guy but that's starting to be an attractive option for teams these days.

Ehh close enough...I'll take what he said over a "No, I'm leaving for the NFL"

Enjoy watching him until our Bowl Game is over. If he decides to stay...then it makes things even better.

I saw this article earlier. My problem with it was that his goal it to beat Clayton's records. He is within spitting distance of them now with 4 reg season games plus the bowl game and possibly the ccg. Just averaging 100 ypg he will get there so why come back?

Up next: Clayton's single-season yardage mark of 1,425. Broyles, who leads the nation in catches per game and ranks third in yards per game, has 1,018 this year. Only four Sooners have surpassed
1,000 receiving yards in a season, and Broyles has done it twice (he had 1,120 last year).

Career-wise, Broyles has 213 catches (eight behind Clayton). He has 2,825 yards (36 behind Juaquin Iglesias, 416 behind Clayton). He has 28 touchdowns (three behind Clayton). All three should belong to Broyles by season's end.

Exactly.
For instance, last year Dom Franks told everyone he was coming back and later admitted that he said that just so people would stop asking about it and leave him and his family alone.
Hopefully Bryoles paid attention to what happened during the entire draft, and not just the first 5 picks..

I hope he comes back but I doubt it.Especially if he does own the recordbook by season's end.

To win a championship?

If all a guy is playing for is personal records, then see ya...

But Leroy says that winning a national title isnt the reason for having D1 football

Because this is not the year for a 5'11" slot guy to come out if he wants to go high in the draft. This is a banner year for WR's (I've consistently seen 4-5 WR's projected ahead of him), & RB's problem is, he's pretty much the only one who's not that 6'3-4"-ish physical mismatch type that teams are trending to. With those guys ahead of him, he'd be fortunate to sneak into the tail end of round 1 (IF then), whereas next year's crop isn't nearly so deep.

if the league and the player's assn. dont come to an agreement, we may see a lot of juniors around the country coming back, just to keep their draft stock up.

im hoping for a work stoppage myself, because 1) i could give two ****s about the nfl and 2) with him back and all our freshmen getting reps, we got a great shot at a title.

He's a special player. I'd love to see him wearing Crimson another year. But if he goes to the NFL I wish him the best. I'll enjoy watching him these five remaining games this year.

I heard he was going to change his name and attempt to get 4 more years.

For some reason I kinda think Ryan will be back regardless of what the NFL does.

Well, he threw his name in the hat last year to see where he would go. I think he is gone! But who knows.... I'm doubtful he even knows himself.
