I expected 7th, but I can live with it since we'll either play Nebraska or they'll have fallen already.

Dude, get over it, they just slapped around a team you lost to. They also have been extremely impressive on the road.

Strange because we slapped around a team you lost to.

UCLA, Iowa Lite and Baylor "slapped around" a team you lost to....@ home.

If we win a BCS game. I will consider it out greatest season since the rosebowl win in 2002.

What's wrong with #8? I thought that is what everyone on here kept saying they wanted?

I'll be content, but I won't be satisfied.

What can I say? I'm spoiled. I expect conference championships and BCS bowls. I want national championships.

If Oregon somehow loses, and we win out, facing a 1-loss Nebbish team in the Big 12 championship, we could feasibly end up playing Bama/Auburn in the MNC. I think if we're 12-1, they'll take us over Boise/TCU/Utah.

Winning out would be the hardest part of this equation, but Oregon losing is more unlikely. However, this is college football, and it's very possible. I'm certainly not getting my hopes up, but technically at this point we don't need all that much to be right back in the race.

To me, the flies in the ointment are the Cheaters. A one-loss SEC (Auburn/Alabama winner) and/or Big XII Champ (Nebraska/OU winner) would jump an undefeated non-AQ team (TCU/Utah and BSU). The Cheaters still have 'Zona and Oregon State, but I don't know if it would happen.

The best scenario with a chance of happening would be for LSU to beat Bammer  , Ar-Kansas to beat LSU and Bammer to beat Auburn. With 2 losses, that would eliminate Bammer. Question is....would a loss in late November be enough to keep Auburn out of the BCS Title game? It has happened before.

I wouldn't want any part of Oregon this year so I'm hoping that OU can issue Boise State a beatdown in a BCS Bowl and shut their fans up for good.

So another way to say it is that we lost to a much better team than NU did.
