I would love to have Mangino back on our staff. He made some salty, tough players out of scraps at KU. With Bob holding the reins, I think Mangino could be held in check.

GHP!! I have wondered the same thing a million times. It's not nearly as risky as the gastric bypass, and it's reversible if you have problems. And it makes it easy to eat small portions, because with a stomach the size of an egg, you get full REAL quick.

I can't believe his family hasn't just dive-tackled him and made him do it. Or hire a personal chef, personal trainer, personal life-coach/motivator, whatever. It ain't like he's lacking for cash, he could easily afford all that, or at the least, Jenny Craig or NutriSystem. Just do SOMETHING!!! There is absolutely no reason for him to be waddling around looking like that. It sets a terrible example to any team he coaches--the HMFIC obviously has no discipline or self-control, why should a player listen to anything he says? It totally ruins all of his credibility.

Not to mention the effects on his health. That's the main reason I don't understand why his wife/kids (who I think are all normal weight) don't hound him until he gives in and puts down the cheeseburger...burgerS.
Just crazy. Maybe he's mean to them too, and they're all waiting for him to stroke out so they can collect the inheritance. IDK, but he really needs to get a grip and lose that extra 400 lbs. I don't think he'll be hired again, certainly not as a head coach, until he does.
