I'm thinking Boise vs Utah or TCU. any 2 of those 3. I DON'T want Bama in the game, since they already have too many NC's to suit me. If it HAS to be teams from major conferences, maybe the Ducks and the Plainsmen/War Eagles/Tigers is okay, since neither team has near the titles we do.

A sham NC game with Boise and TCU would further pressure for a college football playoff, too. 8 or 16 teams would be best.

Unless Boise stumbles it's hard to say yet who will be left to play them. Too bad they don't play a real schedule during the season.

I can picture you now...hunched over the side of the ship...the all you can eat seafood buffet going back to nature...

;)

But for my part, I think I would, like a lot of people, totally ignore the game if it were Boise St. and TCU. I could not care less about either of those teams. I don't really care about Oregon or Auburn either.

If OU's not there, I guess I don't really care at al. Because I won't be watching. I only watched last year to see texas get beat.

To be honest....

If OU is not there, I would like to see TCU beat Boise State, or Utah beat Boise State.

If OU cannot be there, I damn sure don't want to see an SEC team or Oregon there.

It would be great for Boise to go and get their teeth kicked in so we can put an end to that argument, once and for all. I want to seem them blown out by biblical proportions.

Put me down for Auburn vs Oregon in the Big One. And if Newton stays healthy, it'll be AU for its for its first MNC of the 21st century when its over.

Whoever is 1-2 in the computers is usually the two teams that played the best complete season. If the undefeated teams run the table, Oregon and Auburn will have the best records against the toughest schedule.

hawaii 5-0

Let me preface by saying I'm for a playoff.

Since it's a BCS Championship Game Boise St. should not be there because they don't play in a BCS Conference. If they want to play with the Big Boys let them join a BCS Conference and play a worthy schedule.

5-0

TCU beating Auburn would be the funniest thing in the history of football. No Boise, no Oregon, SEC team gets embarassed. Texas watches TCU win a MNC. Laughs all around folks.

Hmmm... I like the way you think. If it weren't for the dreadful SEC mantra, I'd be for Bama. But the above scenario might prove acceptable.

If it turns out to be Boise St-Oregon, I'm hoping for the Zombie Apocalypse to break out at the MNC game.

I'd rather not see TCU/BSU for a 3rd year in a row in any bowl. But whatever.

Oregon vs. TCU would be my vote

Would that make the Big 12 rethink inviting them along with BYU if they won a title?

Rickety_Syd

No Boise St.
No Utah.
No TCU.
Until they play in a real conference against a schedule of real teams, they deserve a title as much as BYU did in 1984.
(Unless one of them gets throttled in the title game against a BCS team, then I'm all for that)

Auburn vs. Oregon.

At this point in the season Auburn - Oregon would appear to be an allsome matchup. However, I don't want to see a SEC team in the championship game and I can't stand Oregon, but I would watch that game wishing beyond all hope that they would both lose.

Any scenario that results in a BSU butt-raping would be acceptable is my 2nd choice.

3rd choice would be TCU defeating any other team.

It appears that the only joy to come from this years championship game will be from the teams whining about not getting in and the eventual losing team.

A guy can hate can't he?

You realize TCU and Utah are in the same conference? The one with 2 teams in the Top-10? How is that not a "real" conference? Although it has some dogs, like UNM and UNLV, so do other conferences, and MWC's non-conference skeds are better than those you see from the SEC teams, for example.

So I want the MWC winner to play the SEC winner, sort of like the Sugar Bowl 2008, just to shut-up the SEC folks (OK, it didn't work the first time, but try, try again).

BSU vs UO
#1: No SEC in NC game
#2: Hopefully there will be new Boise highlight films around rather than the ones from a few years ago.

Not gonna happen but BSU would literally run circles around tOSU or Wisconsin if that were the NC game.

Unless Boise stumbles it's hard to say yet who will be left to play them. Too bad they don't play a real schedule during the season.

Boise has yet to play Hawaii (7-2) and at Nevada (7-1); In the meantime Boise's strength of sched is going to continue slipping, hurting them in the computer rankings it may be difficult for them to remain among the top-two.

Utah meets TCU in SLC this Saturday, one will fall the other will probably win out, and playing each other will boost their SoS. Utah still has SDSU on the road; TCU will host SDSU in Ft W. , SDSU nearly beat Mizzou in Columbia (24-27). Utah also plays at Notre Dame, but the way ND is playing, should not be a huge problem other than a potential let down from the Utah-TCU showdown.

I'd like to be on a cruise that didn't have any TVs on it.

Did that last year on New Year's! Actually the TVs worked sometime, depending on the satellite. Most of the first half of the Alabama - * game was unavailable. :D Poor * fans on board were going crazy.

This was a cruise with about 25 in laws so * losing was about the only happy time for me.
