View Full Version : I'm getting angry sitting here watching Mizzou/Nebbish

Sorry, Nebbish gets more pressure on a QB with 3 down linemen than we do blitzing. It's infuriating watching this. I'm more sick now than I was last Saturday night.

We have the talent this year to go undefeated and I'm tired of losing games because our defense can't stop anyone.

Jared Crick = better than anything we have to offer on the interior. In fact, their defensive line is just flat out better than ours.

Our defense played confused last week. Nebbish is confident and playing with fire.

they were pumped up last week, we weren't.

two other factors.

1. Nebraska is the home team, not Mizzou.
2. the field is dry.

According to Pat Jones Nebbish has nothing special on the defensive front. He also said a few weeks ago they don't have much of a pass rush.

This pains me to hear after our performance last week.

of course 4 rushes for 148 yards by Helu in the first quarter didn't hurt much

Are they spying Gabbert?

nope, or if they are they aren't having succes doing so. When he takes off he's had some success. But they're rushing three and getting pressure on him and the coverage is fairly tight.

We need to win by about 80 and at least get the people too stupid to realize CU sucks to STFU.

And yes...99% of fans and sports reporters fit the "too stupid" bill.

What you are seeing is just proof we had a bad week and a bad game on the road.

If they hadn't had the 3 turnovers OU likely smashes them. Plus, Missouri was amped to be playing a #1 at home. It happens, and OU will be fine. If they win out they still have a shot at the National title and worst case is a big BCS game.

I actually believe that as many as 4 teams ahead of us will lose today. That means we're about halfway there.

I know! So far he's gone off for 15 big ones and 1.4 yards per carry. Better put a man on it.

Tiger nuts and Tiger4life both trolled around this board about how great their team was. I bet we don't hear from them this week.

What I've noticed is that their linebackers are far more disciplined in their assignments than ours were. The option route they used to kill us last week isn't there for them this week.

Gabbert is starting to resemble a whiny baby. A good QB doesn't blame his teammates or coaching staff. He looks like he is getting frustrated at them instead of himself.

Beat 'em like OU is the GOP and it's election day 2010.

It doesnt look like Nebraska's D-line is getting that much more pressure than we did, but it sure as hell looks like their secondary is not letting anyone get open. Gabbert's got like 5 or 6 seconds and no one is open.

So you're saying their safeties actually use technique?

Yes, lets make a BCS game and win it, I'll be a happy man.

We have the talent this year to go undefeated....

Do we? Even at DT?

This never felt like a NC caliber team to me.

Regarding our defensive line and in particular the tackles, keep in mind...

1. Adrian Taylor not 100% after having his ankle broken and facing the opposite way in the Sun Bowl.

2. Casey Walker sitting on the bench due to injury 3 weeks ago.

3. Dan Noble sitting on the bench due to injury 2 weeks ago.

4. Jamarkus McFarland is still young and learning.

That leaves us with one starter, a senior, with a healing foot and two backups with limited time for rotation because of it. There was no way to get pressure by the third and fourth quarters and so nothing for Beal to work off of.

But a re-match... yes... a re-match!

Well... possibility gone if the Huskers keep winning.

All anyone had to do was watch the linebackers all game.
