5.Texas 4-3 "Poltergeist": Like Tangina and Carol Anne, Mack Brown is pulling out all stops in trying to get his Longhorns to see the light after they dropped consecutive games at home.

From a consensus top five to ESPN's Bottom 10 in just eight weeks.

Shows how much pre-season polls are worth.

They, and every other top team dishonored in that 5-slot deserved it thus far.

Week 7: Florida
Week 6: Pitt/Penn State
Week 5: Georgia
Week 4: Minnesota
Week 3: Cal
Week 2: Va Tech
Week 1: Ole Miss/Kansas
Preseason: USC

Florida was in that spot last week.

Guessing that they won't dishonor the same team twice in that coveted 5-spot, here's my predictions for future dishonorings:

Big 12: Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Colorado

Big Ten: Illinois, Purdue

Big East: Cincy (seriously, they are going to probably be next if they lose again)

SEC: Arkansas, Tennessee (and then either of these guys after Cincy)

Pac 10: Arizona State, UCLA, Oregon State, Wazzu (if they aren't on the list enough in other spots)

ACC: Miami, Boston College

Et al: BYU, Notre Dame (who might also earn a real spot on the list)

The funny thing is, Mack has started saying what a lot of Sooners have all along:

He's calling out his players and coaches, and blaming his team's sense of entitlement for its uncharacteristic struggles.

He should come out publically against the whole "We're Texas" thing since it is the embodiment of the sentiment that he is trying to change.
