Heard this on the radio on the way in to work.
FLORENCE, Ariz. -- Arizona has executed Jeffrey Landrigan for a 1989 murder in the state's first execution since 2007.
Landrigan died by injection at a state prison in Florence at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday after a stay issued by a federal judge was lifted by the U.S. Supreme Court. That stay was based on questions about the effectiveness of the state's supply of an execution drug in short supply.
His last words looked back to his youth as an Oklahoman.
"Well, I'd like to say thank you to my family for being here and all my friends, and boomer sooner."

His execution caused quite a buzz around here because the chemical used to kill him was imported from Britain. (Apparently the killing drug is now in short supply. Why not just use something like prussic acid?)

When I first heard this on my drive in to work. They started out with Sooners and prison. And I thought, oh crap, who got busted. Then they told the story. When they said what his last two words were. I admit, I LOL.
Sad how he got in his situation. Funny how he finished it out.

He went with the strawberry ice cream instead of the orange sherbet. I believe he had made his amends and apologies and decided to enjoy the last minutes of his life and say good bye. No anger..no pleading...just Boomer Sooner!
I think it's great that he took it like a man. I hope the Families and friends of the person he harmed finds a bit of closure upon his Death.

Like clockwork all the pukes are coming out in droves on Facebook about this story, using it as an opportunity to rehash the ut scrotum ripper, some story about an OU fan waking up from a near death experience and reporting dreaming about OU players instead of his family (wtf, never heard that one), and any number of unsavory stories about random OU fans that of course in their eyes automatically place our entire fanbase on that same level.
So I'm looking for ammunition to fire back with similar stories of puke fans. The best I could come up with was the Randy Rutherford bomb threat back in the mid 90's. With all the morons that come out of that school there has to be some good stuff out there somewhere...

I have many fine upstanding Sooner friends, as I am an alum. But coming from a small podunk town in OK, unfortunately the vast majority of my high school friends went to okie state.
