Instead of making it a one possession game for sure with an XP and kicking it deep in their territory.

I dunno. Ask our head coach. I am sure he made that call.

Sorry, I just started the same thread at the wrong time. Disregard my thread. Crazy.

I dont think the call is that bad..either way you need a 2 pointer...
I dont get the onside with 6 minutes left.....and I especially dont get being offsides and touching the ball before 10 yards..two penalties on one play ouch....also dont get the punt on 4th down when we need to score with 2 minutes left......

bad game all the way around.....their o-line dominated us...no way around that...i think this shows how good we are...we are about the 10-15 th best team in the country.....we have one dominating game on the year against fsu...remaining wins (excluding isu) were not impressive...

The only thing I can think of, is that stoops was going for the win.

Beyond that, I have nothing.

Since we made the bonehead decision to go for two when we still needed another touchdown (and didn't get it) I think we had to try the onside kick. With only 6 minutes to go and needing to score twice we were running out of time (not to mention we didn't have our full set of timeouts)

I guess this was OUr play which always work and they were that confident in it. BIG GAMBLE.

Have you seen our kickers? Maybe a good call after all.

Because our coaches feel the need to prove just how smart they are.

If OU had kicked the xp and made it an 8 point game and with nearly 6 minutes left you kick off instead of going for the onside kick. You stop MU and get the ball back. Instead they had to go for the onside being down 2 scores with 6 minutes left. That was a stupid call by Stoops. Also when he punted the ball with 2:30 left from the 10 that was a signal that he had given up. You have to go for it even at that point. First time I've seen OU quit in a game. All in all one of the worst 4th quarters I've seen from Stoops since he's been at OU.
