Anybody listen to the interview?

I just caught comments afterward, with some caller saying that Travis talks like an NFL front office guy and will be the first player, overall, taken in the draft.

Rome dismissed the idea Lewis would go number one in the draft, but did reinforce how impressive Travis is.

Travis is pretty good and all, but nothing about him thus far (other than some really cool photos of him wearing a really cool golden hat) has really stood out for me.

Are you being serious? He had a million tackles against Iowa State. He had a pick in the FSU game. He created pressure in the * game to allow a big sack. He's been all over the field. He's one of the best players on the team. I hope you're kidding. :pop:

Not only all this, but didnt Lewis break Boz's record for tackles in a season as a freshman?

Lewis is arguably one of the best Linebackers in the 2010-2011 season!

Not only the above mentioned bagder...but Lewis leads OU in tackles at 59.
He has 1 INT for 14 yards, 2 QB Hurries, and 2 TFL. He also has .5 of a sack and this is while playing weakside linebacker. Where he is dropping more into coverage than rushing the QB.

Freshman year He had 144 tackles, 4 INT, 11.5 TFL. Last year he had 109 tackles, 1 INT, 9.5 TFL.

So yea, I think he is a hell of a player and will likely be one of the top 3 Linebackers drafted in the next draft!

He's stepped up his game this season by figuring out how to shed blockers on a more consistent basis since he doesn't have GK up front to occupy two of them on nearly every snap.

probably not a 1st round draft pick but probably a top 5 OLB pick...

OLB values are down, so there maybe 1 OLB taken in the 1st...I had TL as the 6th best OLB for this season before Herzlich from BC became ill last season..I'd bump him into that 4 or 5 spot now..

He has games where he gets off the block well and still some he doesn't...this defense is designed for that position to get a crap load of tackles with what the DL is doing...

If that Iowa State game is the sign of who he is becoming, then good things are ahead

From what I have heard and read, Travis seems to be a real vocal leader on the team. When he talks, I like what he is saying.

the problem in the past is travis has had too much to say when on the field...Times he's trying to correct others when he is the one who was out of position..or mouthing the offense and then on the next play gets blocked by the fullback and can't get off of the blocker and a runner goes right past him...

as the season has gone along, he seems to have learned when to have something to say and when to keep his mouth shut
