OP is right. We don't deserve it. Nobody else does either. So if they're going to have one somebody's got to be put there. Right now it doesn't really mean anything but at season end it certainly will. Is it better to be there now and fight to stay there or be top 5 or 6 right now and work up the poll with week by week wins? Bottom line is if we keep winning it won't matter which way is better. Same thing is true if we lose. I personally hope the team doesn't pay attention to the poll but rather the disrespect a lot of people have because they say we aren't that good and have barely beat some teams they deem not worthy, give up too much yardage, can't put teams away, etc. I also think this year will end up showing those weren't bad teams at all. I also think if this team can keep focused on the team in front of them this year will end up also showing the country we actually are a pretty good team. Reality is we are ALWAYS going to have doubters until we go undefeated and win the NC regardless of who we play or how we win.

I think Boise has a good team, I really do. I just think they get too much credit. You guys have some nice bowl wins, but anyone can show up for one game. If Boise had to play in a big conference they wouldn't have so many wins.

If OU played your schedule they might not have lost a game in the last 3 or 4 years. You wouldn't be impressed if OU played Montana St, McNeese St etc..then won their bowl game and claimed to be unbeatable. This logic holds true for fighters as well. No one would think Brock Lesnar would be a great fighter if he scheduled 49 little pansies to fight and then added one legit fight out of 50. Although he may have a 50-0 record that doesn't really mean anything.
