I'm no Irish fan, but I have to give them kudos on the '12 slate. That is pretty dang wicked:

I see at least 6, possibly 8 losses in 2012. You know, if the world doesn't end.

"Not so fast, my friend."

as heard on the danny bonaducci show this morning, this isn't the case. the mayans, apparently, can't count correctly and the end of their calendar may have already come and gone... or maybe not. either way, may see the end of the 2012 football season.

That's one of the advantages when you don't play in a conference... They might go 6-6 that year. :D

Boise State would be too scared to do even that 2011 schedule.

I knew it was only a matter of time before somebody mentioned Boise... You forgot to mention Tebow!!!

It would be really awesome if Notre Dame ran that schedule undefeated, and the world ended on 12-26-2012... So they would never get a chance to win their 28th title.

ok, Tebow didn't bless that schedule ;)

well they can't since they have that whack conference; I do not blame them, they have been trying these past years scheduling BCS teams and other teams scared of scheduling them. Boise has one of the better OOC games. They should blame their own conference for sucking, they should either become independent or join a real conference. There is so many OOC games u can schedule when u have your own shirry conference games to play.

*sigh* I'm tired of that myth.

Boise wants to be treated like a national power with home and homes, but also wants to be treated like the Utah State, Middle Tennessee State, and Lousiana-Lafayettes of the world and get an obscenely big payday to be the road team in that home and home.

Can't have it both ways brother.

Basically what I'm saying is they cant have a schedule like this one, unless all those teams in their conference become good all of a sudden. And you really think these guys want to schedule a home and home with Boise at the moment? With the way its been these few years you have to be undefeated to control your own destiny and one-loss at the most, why try and risk and play Boise on the road it when you know that you have your own tough conference schedule to go through?

Well, it's easier for Boise to schedule Wake Forest for a home and home (and agree to a lower pay day btw) then claim "We don't get any respect for beating BCS schools!"

lol true they can whine all they want but they really have to leave that conference if they think they can keep this up for while; which I don't think they can.

I'm Irish but a OU fan, graduated from OU, my son and daughter in law are both OU grads. My dad and brother both graduated from Notre Dame and have both passed away. My first college game was in South Bend in 1956 when OU beat Notre Dame 40-0, I became a Oklahoma fan that day.
I thought it would be a good idea to reconnect to our Irish heritage to take my sons and daughter to the OU/Notre Dame game in South Bend in 2013 but after seeing thier 2012 schedule maybe Navy in Dublin would be a better place to reconnect to our Irish heritage. Our I could just take them to O'Connels.

So true. You gotta give a little to get a little.

So true. You gotta give a little to get a little.

You either get paid off to come in as a "one and done," or you both do home and homes and you take what you can get at the gate.

Sure, a nice TV payout should boost that for both teams, but if Boise wants to be taken seriously it has to stop playing silly games.

There is absolutely no reason Oklahoma should do a home and home with Boise St. We would lose money going to Boise, plus playing on that god awful blue field, and legitimizing an up and comer?

It's not like they are going to recruit anyone from Idaho because they play at Boise St.

But back to ND, am I the only one that thinks ND will never be back on top if they keep these kinds of schedules? I know they are independent but the Big 10 schedule would have been 10 times easier.

I believe this will be the second time they've played Navy there. I think they did that a few years ago.
