Meyer is obviously a bum; two titles doesn't cut it for long. People want 4 or 5 and then they might consider keeping you for an extra year or 2.

hmmm, good point, bub...for some reason i just dont recall much about florida being perennial contenders before 2000...were they ??..i'm too lazy to look it up

Florida occasionally had a good year now and then before 1990, but it was Spurrier that really put them on the map. They started winning SEC titles in 1991 and won their first MNC in 1996.

No, it's not like they have decades of tradition, and they owe two-thirds of their national titles to Urban Meyer.
