How much money do the participating teams receive? Does the winner get more, or is it split evenly?

found on another board it said it was $750,000 for each team, but I couldn't find anything that even half way offical.

If that's the same one I saw when I tried to Google it, that post was from 2008. I would suspect it's larger now.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see that neither team got cut a big check. Whatever ticket revenue and Jerry Jones money the game generates probably gets included in the big pool of money distributed at the end of the season, which is then split up based on how often the teams are on television, which bowl games they went to, etc.
I am not sure how much Jerry paid to host the game through 2013 (lol, more like 2010), but I read in a release that $6 mil in ticket sales was promised.
You might argue that teams have to bear a cost to travel and house their players, coaches, band, cheer and yell leaders (gag), but I think we've all read about how bowl payouts sometimes mean teams lose money to play in the postseason. It's an honor to make it to the title game and rep your division, not something meant for school coffers... just conference coffers. Hehe.
