So on the boob tube what number do they throw up there for who's playing who. Like is it #1 Ou vs. #11 Mizzou or is it 3 vs 18?

Also what do they go by now for quality wins vs. ranked teams. Are we getting props for beating the number 11 team this week or 18 in the computer scores?

If you're the network broadcasting the game...it's #1 vs #11.

If you're not the network broadcasting the game, it's #3 vs #18.

I think EastSPN puts up whatever number makes the matchup they are playing more attractive.

I should create a flow chart! No, I shouldn't, but in general... if your team beats a team ranked #1 in any poll, you call the team you beat the #1 team in the country. What you call yourself is irrelevant, so long as it includes the phrase "just beat the #1 ranked team in the country."

For a day... then after that it's the #9 or #10 or w/e it is! LOL

ESPN just said OU could be the third #1 to go down in as many weeks.

So there you have it. :)

It depends on whether we win or lose. If we get behind it will be talk about #1 going down three weeks in a row. Otherwise it will just say #3 OU beats Missouri (ranking withheld).

It would be real cool if OU was playing Oregon this weekend. They could then list it as #1 vs. #1.

ESPN is consistently using the BCS rankings.
