Why are Mizzou QB's given to histronics and outrageous claims?

I remember Colby Jones, I remember Brad Smith, I remember Chase Daniels, and now we have Gabbert and his, "Step on their throats" statement from last week. This is not hollywood where you win the game on a last second td, and people carry you off on their shoulders. No! This is real life where you will walk off of Faurot field dejected with a heart and soul full of bull**** excuses just like Chase Daniels. I take many of you to a previous thread about the 'The sad tale that is Chase Daniels', to offer consolation to the weak hearted sooner fans, who fear our trip to Columbia this weekend.....

I know you're teasing, and it is definitely true that a good game boosts confidence almost irrationally at times, but I think the confidence around here is based more on continuous improvement and a win over texas :texan:

Still think we have a loss or two in us due to the youth factor. Mizzou is bona fide (not great, butsolid all the way around). If we win this one in front of a jazzed up homecoming crowd, I may have to shoot that one or two loss theory of mine.
