is what stands between us and the MNC. No doubt we are more talented than the teams we are going to face for the rest of the regular season. However to win those road games and eventually the Big XII championship because of the hostile environment and the pressure, we're gonna need the vets of our team to step up and get the youngins mentally ready for those games.

And no need to say that coach Bob is taking care of that aspect as well as the coaches to avoid any potential letdown starting with Mizzou next weekend :D.

I know some people like to scoff at threads like this, but the OP is right. No hands on the hips, rolling eyes at the coaches or staring blankly at the scoreboard when the going gets tough... ISU was a nice confidence booster. It reminded them of what they're capable of (like the 44-17 win over FSU). The whole team has got to keep improving, whatever has worked so far, needs to continue. The 2000 effort got into some scary situations down the stretch, and had guys like Torrance Marshall, Josh Heupel and Ontei Jones getting in peoples' faces to keep them going along.

The 2010 grade = "so far, so good."

Football IS a team sport and leadership does go a long way, but mental preparation is the individual aspect.
