So... would an undefeated SEC champ Auburn or LSU jump us?

Maybe... but would an undefeated Big 12 champ Oklahoma jump an undefeated Oregon? One can hope.

I know, I know, "just keep winning and it'll work out." But just sayin'... we'll have to hope for either "No" to the first question or "Yes" to the second one... or, of course, for things to not work out that well for the SEC and Pac 10 champs. And that's all assuming our SoS gets us over Boise and keeps us over TCU.

Too much football left to be worrying about this......let's worry about Mizzou first.

Only 11 of 120 teams made it undefeated through the easy half of the season. There is another entire half of the season to go.

Also ... AP has pretty much nothing to do with anything anymore.

I'll agree that Mizzou is at the center of OUr Universe right now....but seriously....wouldn't it be cool to play Oregon, TCU or boise st for all the marbles?

Me? I'd like to play any of them to the death.

Well, they do have the distinction of having awarded USC their last "national championship". :D

they were 1/3 of the BCS that year tho. (and the last year the AP was apart of the BCS).

But yet ironically, the Harris Poll manages to get pretty close to mimicking it on a weekly basis enough that the Harris Poll should be disqualified.

Not a total replication though...Harris has us at #4
