OU is not THAT good

I hate to be a downer after a so so win but I know when a team has "it" and this Sooner squad just doesn't make the cut.

We still suck in the 4th quarter. We only scored one TD in the 4th against Iowa State. This is nothing more than evidence of Kevin Wilson with his vanilla 'play not to lose' offense. We had more chances to score too. The thing is these running backs, like Finch, which everybody is slobbing their knob over, are not that good. I mean if they were good, they would have made the TD instead of trying to put on a dog and pony show as they attempted to do a little dance into the endzone. Frankly I'm glad they got planted on their *** and brought back to reality. Oh yeah, Iowa State had no fumbles yet our offense lost the ball tonight. We had more fumbles than Iowa State!

DeMarco Murray, the only reason he beat the record is because he gets all of his TDs gift wrapped to him. When was the last time he ran a nice 50 yard TD run? Yeah, the show off freshmen looked better than him.

Landry Jones, is still a very average QB and frankly he has hit the limits of where his "talent" will take him. He didn't even hit 90% tonight yet he has the balls to say, "I was pretty accurate tonight." THAT IS BULL****! If you were accurate you'd hit all your passes and have more than three TD passes you dumbass. Hell, Drew Allen was able to get a TD and he ran that one in. When was the last time you tucked the ball and ran it in Landry? Yeah, exactly what I thought.

Ryan Broyles, he is still no Mark Clayton and never will be. I mean he was one of the reasons Landry Jones sucked it up so much. Yeah, he can catch the ball, sometimes, but what does he do afterwards? He can't run and has no moves and just falls on the ball because he's afraid to take a hit.

As for our defense, still a merry-go-round, missed assignment, titty bump tackling, joke that is being fielded. Yeah, they got a shutout tonight, finally. How many chances did Iowa State have at fieldgoals? One too many that's for sure. If you let Iowa State get almost 200 yards of offense against you, then you suck.

Also, how about that kicker? He can't even make it into the endzone unless he has a 50 mph wind behind him. I bet if he tried to hang himself he'd miss the chair.

It all comes down to coaching though which we've lost. We got an offensive coordinator who goes into a shell whenever possible, a defensive coordinator who can't hide a blitz package to save his life, and our head coach has lost the edge since his brother left.

I hate to break it to you guys but we'll probably lose to Missouri and drop another game or two, AT LEAST. We just don't have it this year, or next, until we get better players and get this entire coaching staff into shape and that includes a few terminations.

Roy Finch with just under 100 yards in his first game as a true freshman. He's going to have a tough four years (more likely 3).

Defense giving Iowa State nearly 200 yards of offense in one game... definitely hurt our stats this week.

Once again the defense failed to stop anyone. Iowa State had 192 yards of total offense. There's no minus sign on that stat. That was all positive yards. Does Brent Venables use a Magic 8 Ball to plan his defensive strategy?

And where the hell was the special teams? We had 0 yards on kick returns tonight. 0. None. That's just insane.
