Inigo Montoya (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001597/): I'm going to duel him left-handed.
Vizzini (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001728/): You know what a hurry we're in!
Inigo Montoya (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001597/): Well, is only way I can be satisfied. If I use my right... over too quickly.
Vizzini (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001728/): [exasperated] Oh, have it your way.

Longhorns football coach Mack Brown's right-hand man, Cleve Bryant, has taken an administrative leave of absence, officials within the University of Texas athletics department confirmed to the American-Statesman on Friday.

Bryant is the associate athletics director for football operations at UT.

The university would not comment on the reason Bryant was on leave. Bryant's wife, Jean Bryant, a life skills counselor with the university, also took a leave of absence.

California attorney Gloria Allred confirmed to the American-Statesman that she had been hired by a female client "in reference to Mr. Bryant." Allred's client is a former part-time employee of the Texas athletics department.

Allred, a celebrity feminist attorney, has been involved in numerous high-profile cases, including ones involving O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson, Scott Peterson and Robert Blake, and sexual-abuse suits against the Roman Catholic Church.

Allred "would not comment, yet," on the name of her client or why she hired legal representation.

Bryant did not return calls to his cell phone Friday, and Texas athletics director DeLoss Dodds said he had no comment.

According to Bryant's profile on mackbrown-texasfootball.com, he "works extensively in handling and supervising all of the administrative operations and responsibilities of the football program. He oversees everything from team travel and event scheduling, to recruiting weekends, housing and game day operations."

Bryant's salary was $267,800 in 2009.

Bryant, 63, joined the Longhorns' staff for the second time in 1998, coming from North Carolina with Brown. Bryant's original stint at Texas was from 1992 to '94, when he worked with receivers and also was one of the Longhorns' top recruiters.

Brown originally hired Bryant to be North Carolina's recruiting coordinator. He also was in charge of the Tar Heels' passing game from 1995 to '97.

A university spokesman said Brown could not comment on Bryant's leave.

A native of Ohio and father of two, Bryant was the head coach at his alma mater, Ohio University, from 1984 to '90.

Bryant also was a star quarterback at Ohio University. He was selected as the Mid-American Conference's player of the year in 1968 and was inducted into the Ohio University Hall of Fame in 1975.

Gloria Allred means two things:

Somebody's pockets will be getting lighter.

We'll all know soon what the issue is.
