Also on this day in 1983, OU scored 18 points in the 4th quarter, and Sooner Magic was in the air as they beat the Pokes in Stillwater 21-20.

So, the 1988 mark is our goal for this weekend?

DeMarco is said to psyched, but quietly confident. Will he have to share carries? Or is he expected to do the entire 768 all by himself?

I can't believe the 1980 game vs. Colorado wasn't the record.

I looked it up. We won 82-42, had 758 yards on the ground (10 short of the record) and we went 5 of 7 passing. For 117 yards.

10.4 yards per rush and 23.4 per completion. And only 2 fumbles.

Dang.

...Oklahoma rushed for an NCAA record of 768 team rushing yards vs Kansas State on October 15, 1988.

A walk-on named Joe Muti from Chicago, IL was the guy who broke the record with a 25+ yard TD run. The sideline went crazy on that play.
