View Full Version : Whose our star on Saturday? I say...

Broyles goes bananas and Landry is throwing the ball on target. DM probably gets a tough 100 yds and pokes 1 or 2 in the endzone but I feel like our passing game will be on fire.

Really excited, haven't been to a game since we had season tix in 07.

Who do you predict goes nuts for OU this weekend? Maybe a defensive standout?

Would be nice for DM to get the TD record at home. I think he'll need to get them from a ways out because ISU will load up against him inside the 5.

I'll go with Kenny Stills.

DM runs in 2, STILLS makes a 1 hand for 38 yrd TD, CLAY is good for 1, WORT gets 3 sacks & Mr. Lewis makes a hit that is so hard it is played on the NFL NETWORK! Oh, and the D put 2 in the EZ!

The rest is anyones guess!!!

Any game where a Sooner topples a four decade old record for the most TDs in history and surpasses the legendary Steve Owens pretty much locks that player into being my star for the day.

Easy. Demarco, isu's rushing D is 102 in the country. If anything was evident in Dallas, it was that we still need to work on the running game. Yeah, we had some nice gains, but it wasn't consistent. Out of the neighborhood of around 70 plays, look for DM to carry it about 25 times (I'll wager 160yds total), MM & others - 22, and Landry to throw about 20-23 times completing 15-17.

DeMarco goes insane and our TE's collect way more than their share.

The answer is Finch. No contest. 1357 yards and 37 TDs easy.

i said in the predict the score thread Demarco runs for 196 yards, 4 td's and a helmet sticker!

I forgot the fact that finch is returning and going to surpass not only steve's record in this game but the new one set by demarco...in this game. what a game this will be!

BoulderSooner79

I don't think we can line up and power run against anyone - including the 102nd rushing D. But DM gets 2TDs and LJ throws 30+ times. Broyles gets back to his normal stats of 100+ yards.

WestLakeHillsSooner
10/15/2010, 10:53 AM
I think they'll have quite a package for DeMarco so he can tie or break Steve Owen's TD record in Norman. Probably see him run out of the I a lot with some counters/traps thrown in for good measure.

Also, I think Kenny Stills has hit his stride and will have another big day. ISU will overcommit to stop Broyles and #4 should take up the slack.

BOOMER!

Other than the usual suspects DM, Broyles, Landry, I say Miller or Stills has a decent game on offense. Defensively I'll say Jefferson, but that's not really a surprise.

I have a feeling that the entire offense is going to go off on isu. I expect Stills, Broyles, and DM will all have scores. Beal will light it up on D with 3 or 4 sacks.

Saturday Sooner Firsts:

1. Tony Jefferson will not only get his first INT, he'll get the first pick-6 of the season.

2. Austin Box will get his first sack, tackle and forced fumble on his first play back.

3. DeJuan Miller will haul in the first deep pass of the season. :)

4. DeMarco will become first all-time TD maker at OU in the first quarter.

5. Roy Finch will become the first 100-yard rusher on only one carry in the first quarter.

6. Ronnell Lewis will give somebody a concussion on OU's first kickoff.

7. With a first-class effort, OU will make a case to be #1 in the first BCS pole.

8. I will be done with my first gameday beer before the first quarter.

9. Quinton Carter will obliterate the first receiver to cross over the middle.

10. OU will dominate the fourth quarter for, you guessed it... the first time this season.

I hope so. I have always been a huge DM fan, particularly after the 65 yd td run v UTerus as a freshman. And the 08 home game v Tex Tech was a ton of DM as well.

So you're saying that we'll be backed up on our own 1 early in the game? I think not :D. No but seriously how many td's does DM need on Saturday to break the record?

no no no. he's saying that we will catch the kickoff and down it at the 1 so that we can have a 99 yard run! :D

and i think he needs 4 td's for the record. either 3 or 4.

DM needs 3 TDs to break the record. That's a lot to get in 1 game, but it would be nice to see him get it at home. It would probably be a bad thing if he didn't get it until the CU game.

I can see him getting three if he has a decent game, probably no chance at four though.

Pretty close and got the TDs correct. Probably would have been closer on the yardage if the game had been a bit closer. SPEK!

Lots of stars though, with Broyles, LJ, T. Lewis, Finch debut! But I'd have to say DM gets the prize due to the record.
