View Full Version : Is it legal to forward an e-mail not meant for you?

I received an e-mail a few days ago that was mistakenly sent to me. It was an e-mail meant for someone with a very similar name to mine. It was from a retailer confirming an order of some very *personal* items.

It's so freaking hilarious that I'm just itching to forward it, but I don't want to be sued if this person figures it out.

There's absolutely no disclaimer anywhere in the e-mail saying that if it's not for me, delete it.

If you have to ask, it's probably a bad idea.

Besides, I really need those fishnets.

Theoretically, they could sue you for disclosure of private facts if it was possible to ascertain who the email was meant for.

It should be posted so we can track down the intended recipient and let 'em know their dildo has shipped.
