If you could read you would be able to see that the list is a mid season All American team and he is on there as a freshman, dork

I read the list...that doesnt mean they consider him great..he won a 5 game award that doesn't exist from a website

I heard Ed Reed wants to wear #1 now

Collier11

It means that of all the players in the country, that particular website believes he is one of the top 22 based on his play thru nearly half the season.

not really...means they believe is amongst the best safeties through 5 games

I only see 2 safeties listed

stoops the eternal pimp
10/12/2010, 03:50 PM
top 22 players may involved 3 quarterbacks, 4 RBs, 10 WRs...means they think he is playing some of the best football at safety...

The sexual tension between step and collier is a viscous fluid oozing from their pores, not unlike OVJ.

List or not, I don't think there's any doubt Tony Jefferson will be an amazing player. He's just getting some well deserved recognition...

Yes he could be a good player for sure...Doesn't get in trouble, doesn't get hurt, continues to work hard.....he could be something

I just reserve myself until a player has at least, I dunno, a full season under their belt..maybe a season and a half...too much can happen...He is a good tackler who needs to learn the coverages a little better, know which way to turn and go at times, just the little stuff....the little stuff that makes someone great...

Am I being negative in thinking he isn't great yet?

Only one player I have ever been truly excited about before he stepped on the field and as a freshman

Well hell, he is on the field playing hard, playing well, not getting in trouble, nothing wrong with acknowledging that. Sure, he has only been on campus for a year or so but there are a lot of highly touted kids who dont even make it that far or come even close to living up to the hype, so far so good with this guy

He leads the conference in sacks.

Yup..pretty aware that..

This is what separates the other guys from him.....6 sacks, 8.5 TFLs, 14 solo tackles..

Kerrigan has 13 TFL...almost the same amount of Beal's solo tackles..5.5 sacks...26 solo tackles..a factor in both the run and pass game

Beal is good pass rusher, but less than average against the run. Thats why I said he has disappeared at times..Most of the game against AF, part of the game against UT ST and Cincy..

Cincy is leading the country in giving up sacks or they were...15 in 3 games before playing OU, so you lose there..

Utah State- really, the same utah state who just scored 6 points against LA TECH and is 2-4? Really?

The dude is making plays all over the field...4 of Beals 6 sacks have been against 2 of the crappier lines in NCAA football...

Not saying those teams are better than the ones we faced, but its not a night and day difference..Kerrigan can stop the run and the pass...
