would any of these coaches work there?

Larry Coker, Butch Davis, Mark Richt, Frank Solich, Jim Leavitt.

Coker is actually suppose to coach UTSA in 2011.

I can't see any BCS program picking up a coach as old as Solich.

I think Lester should go back there:rolleyes:

After getting ****-canned from South Florida, OkSt might be a step up.

But of course, Stillwater is never going to be a step up from southern Florida.

I've often thought that OkSt should try to hire Gary Gibbs.

The man knows football in Oklahoma, won over 70% of his games as a head football coach, and has probably vastly matured professionally during his years in the NFL.

I don't think OSU will lose more than 3 this season with the start they've had. And they might do better than that. Even T Bone won't fire 'The Man' for 9-3 or better.

Coker wouldn't mind coming back to Oklahoma.

he's already coached @ OU & osu.

I could see them promoting Dana, much like they once promoted Gundy.

But, I don't see them firing Gundy, no matter how incompetent his team looked in the first half against Ooo-La-La.

Nyuck nyuck nyuck ;)

Seriously though, cheerios belong in bowls, not pokes, and [hairGel] has them going on an annual basis now. Not much to complain about (unless you're comparing yourself constantly to your big brother in Norman, hehe)

2nd half wasn't bad.

lotsa teams have games where they look better in one half than the other.

Ja... but against University of Louisiana at LaFayette???

It was on the road on a Friday night. It's probably more acceptable to do that than Nebraska looked at home against a winless South Dakota State team.

Butch Davis might have been @ okie state with jimmie.

why the heck would they fire gundy. he is possibly the best they have had or ever will get(cept miles of course)

They have just as much chance as OU does of winning the big 12 south and big 12 championship. Their offense and defense are comparable cept OSU puts up alot more yards and points on lesser competition but the defenses are right about the same.

Any Poke fan who even thinks about wanting Gundy gone is retardiculous. He could lose the rest of his games this season and be par with the expectations coming into it. Without Leach, Gundy's program will now be the thorn-in-your side, #3 program in the BIG 12 South. Now they just need some of that Lubbock officiating magic to get them past the big dogs in Stoolwater.

I think a lot of the "fire gundy" was fueled by lowered expectations during the off-season. Everyone seemed convinced (myself included) that OSU was bound for a losing, non-bowl (or at best, a sh!t-tier bowl) season. But, seeing how they've started 5-0, that talk's died down a tad.

:D then, the tough part of their schedule starts... you know, the part where they can't just play at home all of the time with an occasional road game at a crappy Sun Belt school.

OSU needs two more wins to eek out a sure-fire winning season (remember! if they go 6-6 and lose their bowl, it is NOT a winning season!). if they have an epic midseason meltdown (similar to what Mangino had last year at KU after starting... wait for it... 5-0) then we can resume the speculation that :stunned: will demand [hairGel]'s ouster.

Get kicked by Texas, Nebraska and OU and T Boone would not be a happy camper!! And Holder would definitely be told about it.
