A lot of you in 2006 said "divided government is good."

What say you now?

Divided government is a very good thing. We don't have a divided government.

Two party system is a horrible thing all together, no matter who has the upper hand

Yeah, but if neither party has the upper hand, then they're too busy fighting each other and can't get nothing done that would **** us over.

What say you now? That it's still good. I've said from the beginning that I want Republicans to win this one.

As a side note, Obama has always been most comfortable while facing opposition, and he's about to get a ****load of a lot more of it. Hope his legal staff is rested and ready.

exactly...it may have worked before and it may still work in certain situations but with the current climate in politics, more time is spent promoting ones career and bickering than trying to do actual work for the people

Divided government is a very good thing. We don't have a divided government.

You don't understand. Before the election of 2006, a lot of posters here said "vote democrat" because "divided government is good!"

I just want to know if they feel the same way now.

Dude, the best thing government can do to "help us" is to get the **** out of our lives.

Build a bridge or replace a street lamp? Fine. Require me to buy health insurance and exempt themselves from the same law? **** them.

Right now there's a majority.

Same thing Obama was quoted he wasn't in favor of just a few years ago.

so basically, you're under the impression that the only libs are illegals and unwed welfare moms? it couldnt possibly be because of a particular political and philosophical ideology shaped by almost 38 years of life experiences, could it?

when a party not in the white house recaptures at least one house in congress during the 3rd year of a presidency, then the stock market goes up, on average, 24% that 3rd year.

I don't know where you pulled that stat from, but I hope you're right.
