I got five. missed Gabe Ikard and I wasn't even able to watch the game.

Did that Noble kid get to play? He was tearin' it up the last couple of weeks

Stoops says each of these guys are getting better every snap they get. It's amazing IMHO to see just how well we are playing this year with such youth on the field. I know there are still plenty of Sooner Fans waiting for them to blow up so they can spew the "I told you so" BS but for me....this is a great Team and with all of the guys who have tons of game experience....I think we're well on our way to another awesome Bowl Season for OUr Sooners.

^^^ Agree. I've been quite impressed to this point. A little nervous at times. But with the youth on the team, I think they have actually played very well. They are good enough to overcome the mistakes and they should improve with experience to eliminate the mistakes. Ergo, badass team.

I don't know that Noble started, but he did play....He's been getting in the rotation a lot and played really well against Cincy. Kid looks pretty agile for DT. Hope he can continue to develop and earn some more PT.

Stills definitely showed why he came in and was immmediately able to play....that was one hell of a catch for TD. He's only going to get better.

Tony Jefferson should earn a spot as Freshman AA at this point. The kid is all over the field, he tackles well, and his potential is through the roof.

Loved the effort and hustle by Colvin. The kid is still pretty scrawny, but looks like he can run with just about anybody. Yeah he did get beat on that deep ball against Texas, but I love his ability to look back for the ball while covering his guy. Hope he keeps up the solid play while Fleming is out.

"When I first got here, I was kind of wide-eyed," Jefferson said. "Of course, coming from high school, you're the big dog, superstar on the team. But you've got All-Americans on this team. When I (saw) Travis Lewis make plays left and right in the spring, you just envision, like, 'OK, one day I've got to be like him; I've got to do what he does.'

Jefferson, I'd say you're already doing that! This kid is a freakin stud back there.

pffft, these guys are already better than some of the upperclassmen.

how many people noticed aaron colvin turning back and looking for the ball? when the week before against cinci he couldn't have told you where the ball was at all. its refreshing to see guys come in that pick up on technique that fast.

Most impressive about the Freshman is that they are teachable and want to learn how to be better. With that attitude and their talent they will go far. Can see why Stoops was so high on these guys!

The longer the freshman get to play the longer they get the Germaine Gresham attitude out of their system. Great player but had way to much of the "Going Pro" mentality. I think it rubbed off on some of the veterans.

I have to admit I have a huge man-crush on Trey Millard. Dude's a beast. I love on short yardage plays to just be able to give him the quick handoff and pick up 3 yards.

What? You mean Jermaine Gresham? and in that case; WHAT?

Some coaches will tell recruits anything to get them on campus. Stoops can actually show it - the best players play, whether they're seniors or froshies... and they're winning while playing froshies.

Man, given the state of USC's program, and with Jefferson playing so well, and hopefully Finch coming in and showing what has everyone so excited, the California connection should be a gold mine in recruiting in the next several years.

Finch is from Niceville, Florida. Niceville must be a nice place. :)

Crap, I thought him and jefferson were from CA. Maybe I'm thinking of Clay. Either way, it's nice to have a new pipeline to somewhere with that much HS talent.

Brennan Clay and Kenny Stills are the other two California freshmen.

Jefferson, Stills & Millard all have looked awesome. I look forward to seek how they progress over the next few years.

I'm really wanting to see what Finch and Clay can do.

Nice to see them play for a lot of reasons.

Nicer to see them play with poise and discipline. Texas was not as bad as some people are saying; our guys played a very solid game against a strong (not great, but strong) opponent.

Very psyched for the future.

Finch went to Edmond North his sophomore year and played on the JV team, I was lucky enough to see him a few times because my sister was on pom. He came down on a recruiting trip his sophomore year, and also one of his best friends runs track for OU or something like that. I forget exactly what it is, but all that really matters is that he's in Norman, and we're going to have him for at least 2 more years

Was there a German named Gresham on the team?

All joking aside, how in the heck does someone conclude that Gresham had a "Go Pro" attitude when he risked and sustained injury by coming back for one more season?

Sorry for the mistype and yes Jermaine Gresham! He was caught running outside of O'Connell's when supposedly has a hurt leg. When asked about it he said "I'mma get mine in the pro's all this doesn't matter." Just don't think that is a very good attitude to have when you have freshman looking up to you. You get 3-4-5 people thinking the same thing next thing you know we don't give 100% because we are afraid of getting hurt. At least Bradford got hurt and tried to come back.

Link???? He had his chance to go to the pros, but chose to come back, so OU would have another shot at a title.

I think this quote is pretty much mandatory in situations like this:

"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious. "

I bet he could run a sub-5 40 yard dash on a hurt leg. He's that awesome
