Be a miracle if Switzer and Osborne are even alive by the time this thing gets played.

It just won't be the same.

It wont because Nebbish instantly becomes slower for joining the lil 10

Bad Idea.

They ended the rivalry by leaving.

Again....if they want to play us in Norman every year as a Non-con...I'm OK with that.

The rivalry ended when the Big8 saved the 4 SWC teams. Nebraska lobbied to keep OU-NU a yearly event, but OU didn't come to bat with Nebraska on the issue. It was Osborne lobbying to keep the rivalry alive, while the other side didn't care to.

I've been to OU-NU games in Lincoln and Norman after the Big 8 ended. You can say **** like that....and you can say it a million times if you want to....but the rivalry never ended then. It was just as big a Game every time they met during the Big XII years.

The real damage has now been done by NU by leaving the Big XII. What you are spewing is just an excuse to make it easier for them to leave with their head held high. That shouldn't happen IMO....NU has killed the Rivalry for good as far as I'm concerned.

Even though tejas and Arkansas still hate each others guts.....the fact is....they aren't required to play each other ever again unless they work out a Non-Con deal or meet in a Bowl Game.

The same thing is going to happen to OU/NU.

It's never going to be the same and that's totally NU's fault for leaving the Big XII.

Agreed and that's why I think playing them 4 or 5 times per decade would be a good idea. Other schools have had good cross sectional rivalries and ours would already be built in.

I think having them on the schedule every other year, home and home, would be a nice thing. We'd play 4 or 5 times a decade, like Vegas said. They're a great program with a history that we share, so it'd be a shame to have to hope that we meet up in a bowl game somewhere just to play Nebraska.

Again....no problem with me as long as they are all played in Norman. :D

by 2021, OU-nebraska will be such a distant memory that it won't mean crap to those playing and a lot of the younger folks watching

22 years of age here, me and all of my friends (from OK not the Texas folk) understand the importance of OU Nebbish.

I'd go up for there a game
