Barry Switzer (born October 5, 1937) is a former football coach, in the college and professional ranks, between 1962 and 1997. He has one of the highest winning percentages of any college football coach in history, and is one of only two head coaches to win both a college football national championship and a Super Bowl

One thing I loved about Barry we don't get with Bob is that Barry was really *funny*. Always watched the coaches shows back then in case he spouted a good one-liner.

Wow, to think he was younger than Bob when he left the program.

Close, but not quite. Barry was born in Oct. 1937, left the program in summer '89, which would have made him 51, if my math is correct.

Bob just turned 50.
