This reminded me of a doofus statement Jesse Palmer made yesterday. He said OU doesn't have another ranked team on the schedule. True at that moment, but I figured OSU and Mizzou had a good chance to appear this week. His implication was we have an easy path the CCG and I think that is bull with aTm, OSU and Mizzou all on the road.

Two Stoops brothers in the top 10.
Three in the top 25.

I don't feel that Arizona is a Top-10 team.

Let 'em drop. They're just as responsible for their cupcake schedule as the big schools that they allege never want to play them.

So OU leap-frogged nebbish? That's gotta rankle em.

And down there between USC and Northwestern sits sa*et. Somebody voted them in the Top 25 . . .

I don't think TOSU could beat anyone in the top 8.

Scott Wolf, the AP voter that SF.com'ers beat up for giving Texas a number 1 vote every week until they lost to UCLA?

He voted OU #2 this week (http://sports.ap.org/college-football/poll/voter?filtertype=Scott%20Wolf).

Thanks for the post, the strength of the SEC shows two 1 loss teams ahead of undefeated Michigan and Michigan State.

T**as had been in the top 20 for close to 160 straight weeks--now they are finally out, thanks to yet another team in crimson.;)

I sometimes think you're almost better off not beating teams the way we beat FSU if you're trying to move up rather than maintain a high ranking. Sure, it helps for that week, but when people start looking at your overall body of work, they'll look to see who you've beaten, and where they're ranked. No way FSU is 23 if we beat them 27-17, and no way Air Force is 25 if we had beaten them 49-10.

While there haven't been enough meaningful games to have really solid opinions on a lot of teams, FSU has done at least as much in their wins as several of the one-loss teams ahead of them. They're ranked lower because we kicked the crap out of them.

It's the whole 2008 Texas Tech thing all over again. Maybe FSU will lose to Florida and go 4-4 in the ACC and finish 6-6. But as of now, they've done about as much as Stanford, Miami, Iowa, etc. There ranking isn't totally unreasonable, just about the lowest you could reasonably put them.

He must own the only lucky rabbit's foot that actually works cause his teams have won games that they should have lost way too many times . . .

Boise dropped one spot because beating up NMSU on the road by 52 is not as impressive as beating an unbeaten Stanford in a come-from-behind victory at home on national tv.
