He definitely cuts well for a guy who just had surgery.

Again, UF had this coming all season. Very average UF team at times. hate to say it, but Alabama's the only team who can "cruise" their way to the MNC IMO. Nothing against 'Bama... I'd like to say it a lot more if I could say it about us, too.

Well... Boise can sleepwalk their way there... f'n WAC.

'Bama's offense is farther along than it's ever been under Saban, or any other Saban-coached team, too. Helps to be able to move the ball whenever you need to.

HYPERBOLE! They gave up over 400 yards of offense to Arkansaw last week. Lasts years Bama team was better, because of the balance on offense and defense. This one is more dependent on offense.

Ummm....in other words, an undefeated team will eventually lose, right? I would agree with that just like water is wet and that the sun rises in the East. You're not going to get any disagreement with that 'profound' statement....Lol

Florida is obviously not the team they were with Tebow and I think that was demonstrated tonight. However, in terms of the talent level, they are still--BY FAR--the second best team in our league. I look forward to our rematch in the first week in December.

I think the stupid scheduling snaffu is your biggest obstacle. As ludicrous as it sounds, by the time you get to Auburn, it could catch up to you. I also give South Carolina an outside chance if the somehow get better QB play.

Congrats Sabanball... but your conference might have to find a few replacement refs after Tennessee killed one for costing them the LSU game. VISUAL EVIDENCE BELOW:

Speaking of SEC refs, everything is indeed faster in the SEC with all of that SEC speed, including how your game's refs drop flags. No time to think, they're already throwing the flag. S-E-C! S-E-C! ;)

You'll get no argument from me on SEC officiating, but you can't blame the outcome of that game on the refs. Tenn clearly had 15 players on the field of play there at the second to last play from the LOS. And frankly, I don't know who was more inept at the end of the game--the Hat for not being able to get a play call in or Dooley for having too many people on the field.

I'm not being smug or bragging, just responding to what you are saying. We havent' played anyone yet?? We've beaten two top 20 teams at home and one top 10 team on the road--what else would you have us do at this point in the season that hasn't been asked of another team out there that's 5-0? I'd love to know.

Of course anything can happen in the future but we are playing very well and if our team can maintain this standard and have some luck with the injury bug I like our chances of going undefeated in the reg season.

I think we've ran this into the ground. Appy State beat Michigan a couple of years ago, and Jax State beat Ole Miss several weeks ago in Oxford. College football is very unpredictable, that's one reason I think we all like it so much. You may be right, Bama might very well end up losing 3- 4 games this year, but I don't think you can make an intelligent argument and give any reasons that would support that at this point in time.

We will definitely lose at some point in the future, it could be next week or next year. But right now you have to like our chances of going undefeated, at least in the regular season if we can stay injury-free and have a little luck a long the way...

BTW, congrats on the win in the RRS today. Honestly, I thought overall you guys looked pretty sloppy, especially later in the game, but all that matters is that you won and that you're 5-0. You guys are definitely in the Big 12 drivers seat and I see you all playing the Bugeaters in the Big 12 CG. That Texas/NU game is really shaping up to be a huge hate game!

If they make good use of bye week, and get things straightened out, the injured healed up, then we'll see. The FSU game showed the capability of the team, we've only seen glimpses of it since then.

Our defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and many of us fans knew the jump pass was coming--another sign of unimaginative, horrible play-calling by Meyer/Addazio last night.

If Florida had been smart they would have held on to Cameron Newton(now at Auburn), as I think he could have ran their O much better than Brantley. Urban has got to be kicking himself for making the decision to let him leave with Brantley being the heir apparent to Tebow--and make no mistake that is ultimately why he left.

Without question I think Florida is still the second best team in our league(in fact they were ranked second nationally by Sagarin) and I still expect to see them in ATL, as I predict Steve Spurrier will once again self-destruct at South Carolina. But until they find their identity on O I just don't see them beating us in the rematch.

i said in years.... that could mean 3 or 4 years. and yes. I would take this Alabama team over any team from 2006 till now.

whoever said that 2009 was better than 2010... I'm not so sure. 2010 still has a ways to go. But the offense is looking unreal. The defense is coming together. Ranked 20th in the Nation. After playing Arkansas and Florida. Defensive ranking is only going to get better.

but sure go ahead. Name 10 teams in the last decade better than this Alabama team.

Florida 08 was better, 09 Bama was better, and 08 OU was probably better. 01 Miami was better, 00 OU was better, 04 USC was better, 05 USC and Tex was better.

Thats 8 teams in the decade and 3 in the last 2 years that are better than this years Bama team

Yup...I guess winning 29 reg season games in a row, going 3-2 against Urban Meyer/ Florida the last six years, and going 31-2 overall the last three years is just really no big accomplishment. I mean...I guess you guys and everyone else have done the same thing this decade so no big deal, right? Might as well just put us with the TCU's and Boises of the world, I guess.

Seriously, this is a silly argument. Teams from different seasons will never play each other so you can never say for sure if one would beat the other. One thing Nick always says is that no team can 'defend' a national title--simply because each season your team is different. Each 'team', if you will, gets one shot at a NC--because at the end of each season new players come in and old ones leave. That is why the college game is more for guys like your coach and mine that love to teach, train, and coach young men.

I've never come on here and tried to say we are the best team of the decade. Right now I'd probably bestow that honor on one of Pete Carroll's teams(with an asterisk beside it, of course). But I WOULD say that right now, at this point time, no other team is playing better ball than we are--and as Mark Ingram said last night, we still haven't played a complete game yet.

It's cool. I was just joining in on the discussion.:)

BTW, you are absolutely correct about our final record. Anything can happen--we could lose a key player to an injury, get screwed by a ref, or as hard as it would be to believe of a Saban-coached team, we may just not show up for one game and lose one we are supposed to win easily. It happened to USC several years ago at Stanford and has happened to you guys as well.

you have to give them credit for Penn St. not just a walk in the park game.

they also played at Arkansas, a team ranked in the top 10. VT was a neutral site game (2009).

2009 Bama beat Tennessee 12-10 at HOME. if you want to get picky.... beat LSU by 9 at home.

beat unranked Auburn by 5 on the road.

Interesting that a guy who played well under pressure just the week before went all to pieces in the second half against Alabama. That probably didn't have anything to do with defensive adjustments or anything: he just imploded because of the pressure of a two-score lead.

The difference in Mallet from the first half to the second half was Alabama adjusting their coverage scheme and taking the wheel route out with a safety. At least that's what I saw.

I mean, we can debate until the cows come home, but Alabama has done more to show they're the #1 team in the country than any other team so far this year. I don't know if they're the best team in "years"-LA's pro franchise in 2004 was pretty dang good, as was Miami's 2001 team.

Florida is obviously not the team they were with Tebow and I think that was demonstrated tonight. However, in terms of the talent level, they are still--BY FAR--the second best team in our league. I look forward to our rematch in the first week in December.

Auburn- S carolina in Atlanta. Calling it. ;)

I would much rather play South Carolina and their more conventional offense than Air Force. We beat Air Force by three at home, I think we beat SC by three touchdowns at home.
