Oct 4th, 11pm EST, please set your DVRs to SyFy Channel

Just asking for a little help from my fellow Sooners. A pilot that I've been working on for two years is finally getting aired on SyFy on Oct 4th, EST.

We need to get as many viewers as we possibly can because it's a completely unknown concept that they are trying out. They are considering green lighting it for either a full length feature film (ala Firefly) or a new tv series. Either would be great, but it's gonna depend on viewership, downloads and web chatter.

The people who worked on it are an extremely talented, but very young, group that I'm very proud of and believe in strongly. There's plenty of action and the pilot itself is short of an hour long so it will move by very quickly.

After it airs on SyFy it will be released on Amazon TV and iTunes for downloads in its original 4 minute webisode format. These shorter episodes will include very cool Anime sequences (think the middle story in Kill Bill Vol. 1) which won't be included in the 1 hour pilot.

After that phase, the show will be available on Hulu, Youtube, X-Box Live and the Playstation Network.

Any and all downloading, streaming or DVRing is counted and helps us a lot.

So I'm here asking y'all to help out with a little viewing please please please.

And, as a bonus, those of you who think I'm a doodie face get to see me brutally murdered in the pilot episode. That's gotta be worth it all by itself, eh? :)

Dude, congrats. I hope it turns out to be a huge success. I will do my best to click on the site and watch the first one-hour episode.

But to be honest, the trailer really didn't encourage me to watch it. There was a lot of shooting. There was a guy in a beard being tortured and a mysterious disease and a distant world. Are we talking about Mexico here?

Okay, I realize that the trailer really can't reveal the future plot twists and drama and some intense acting. I'm sure it will be most excellent and I'll be hooked by the second episode.

Ok heres My take.
It aint my cup of tea, But will be as fair as I can in my assessment.

1st the Camera work gave me a headache it was way to jerky.

A lot of the action scenes wernt very realistic.
All in all Id give it a C maybe a C+
It wernt Great But it was Far better than a Lot of crap that has had runs of several years

Just from a production standpoint, it's hard to follow the dialogue with the echo and the way it blends with the incidental music. I AM catching the dialogue, don't get me wrong, but it requires pretty full attention to not miss what they are saying, particularly during interior scenes.

Thanks for watching it and for all the feedback and support, guys. It was done on a shoestring budget by a very small group of talented people, but I'm proud of all they did and am still trying to get their project (and the next one) to a bigger level. It's a long, hard road, but a very possible one, I believe.

To answer your questions, yes, I'm the guy with no helmet on at the beginning who takes a face first dive into the sidewalk. Yes, it actually hurt doing that. Yes, I'm aware of Vet's man-love crush on me. It goes way back. Yes, Collier, I VERY MUCH appreciate the fact that you didn't leave my number with him...especially since you promised you wouldn't give my number out when I sent it to ya. ;)

Anyway, if more develops with the series, I'll let everyone know.

If you liked the animations, make sure to download the iTunes copies or to watch them on Hulu when they are out (in the next week or so) since there is a lot more animation in the shortened webisode versions.

Well worth your time. It seems to have a lot of potential that is actually hard to grade on one episode. With a little more budget and a bit more time it could be better than most of the shows on SyFy.

I gave it a 10 star vote on IMDB, though if it wasn't for you I probably would have given it a 7 assuming it stayed this intriguing as more of the plot is revealed. And 7 is really high for me on there!

The comic book thing was unexpected but was a nice way to do the expository stuff. I do agree with whoever said that the dialogue was hard to hear...I had to turn on the close captioning.

75 - Well, it's on iTunes right now...so you can get it that way.

Veritas - Yeah, a "test pilot." So nothing else has been shot yet, but they were testing it to see if people liked it. If they did, then they were going to consider throwing more money at it to shoot more stuff. That's why the downloads, etc, are so important in this case.

And any time you do any kind of low budget, independent thing, the first thing that suffers is the audio. Amazing cameras are available cheap nowadays, but the high def audio equipment (and the knowhow re: using it) is just as scarce.

Hopefully new high end audio will become available at a cheaper level.
