Gunfire erupted Tuesday on the University of Texas at Austin campus, according to local media reports.

The Austin American-Statesman newspaper quoted university spokeswoman Rhonda Weldon as saying there was "an armed suspect in the Perry-Casteneda Library."

Citing university officials, KLBJ radio reported that a gunman had shot himself on the sixth floor of the library building.

NBC station KXAN reported that students who live on campus were being asked to stay indoors.

Really? I'm all for being "considerate" of others, but there's a line between being justifiably sensitive and being a whiny beyotch.

And as a comedy writer I have to believe in the sanctity of a good joke. :D
