on Billy Sims and greg Pruitt as the all-time OU rusher in the NFL.

Greg Pruitt 1196c-5672 yds-27 TDs/ 328r-3069yds -18TDs

Billy Sims 1131c-5106 yds-42 TDs / 186r-2072-5TDs

Adrian Peterson 985c-4876 yds-43TDs/96r-914-1TD

Joe Washington 1195c-4839yds-12TDs/ 395r-3413-18TDs

Knock on wood it appears the injury bug that limited Washington,Sims and other OU backs seems unable to bite AD.With Peterson becoming a recieving threat and (at least so far this season) demonstrating ball security he could end up with HOF numbers.

Pruitt - 4.74 yds/carry
Sims - 4.51 yds/carry
AD - 4.95 yds/carry
Washington - 4.05 yds/carry

AD has the most yards per carry and already is leading them all in touchdowns.

AD has the most yards per carry and already is leading them all in touchdowns. Not in total TDs-Sims has 47,Pruitt 45,AD 44.I need to doublecheck Pruitt for return game TDs as well.

Pruit had 1 KO for TD and 1PR for TD,brings his total to 47 as well.

Does that mean people will shut the **** up about fumbles now?

Adrian Peterson is a special player once every generation at least at running back.

Too bad he's been held back by his head coach.

I swear one of the announcers Sunday (11/21/10 Packers/Vikings) must have been reading from a promptor the letters AD. He "re-directed" himself after starting out with Anthony. Must have been a USC or Anthony Davis fan (or an old fart). :P

Proably not BUT Walter Payton among others had fumble problems early in their NFL career. There was a thread on that around here(last year,I think) but I couldn't find it.

Zero this year, seven last year... I guess there's a few games to go, but a very good sign... but something tells me he'd have the fumbles back if he could have the wins back too. Poor AD

I looked up the career stats for a few of the top rbs in the NFL and fond that many didindeed have fumble issues in their first three seasons:

Emmit Smith -19
Barry Sanders - 19
Franco Harris - 23
Marcus Allen - 27
Tony Dorsett-28
Walter Payton -30
Eric Dickerson - 37

Having checked out these numbers.I would say AD wasn't so bad.The way I heard the so-called EXPERTS ranting on and on about Adrian's fumble problems I thought he must have been on a record pace.Apparently that is far from the case.It should be noted that the above players also reduced their fumble issues much like AD.

yeah, but even a geriatric Favre is better than Tavaris Jackson. They need a new QB, period.
