The Rams are clearly a better team already with Sam. Prolly take a couple of years to get to the playoffs though, even if they keep the positive direction.

In that division they could compete for a spot this year, they could easily be 3-0. With a good offseason this coming year I think theyre probably a serious threat next year in the West

Good for Sam. They scored more points today than they did in any game last year. I hope Sam continues to lead them to greater heights. I'd really like to see them somehow make the playoffs this year.

Anything that causes Danny Snyder to have a teeny weeny temper tantrum is okay by me. And the fact that Our Man Sam delivered the spanking makes a Skins loss oh, so, sweet.

Except there probably won't be a next year.

I'm glad he's proving all those people who said Clausen was more "NFL-ready" wrong.

At the half of his first start, Clausen had a 0.0 QB rating. And he has the real Steve Smith!

Jimmy Clausen couldn't carry Sam's jockstrap without some help!
Congrats Sam! Glad I got to see your first win, even if it was via online tv. :)

It was a great win for Sam. I didn't get to see any of it or the Minnesota game if it was on. I was watching the Chiefs at arrowhead move to 3-0 and let me say they look like a very good team. Their rookie combo of Moeoki(sp) and McCluster is scary.

Oh, and Peyton threw 26 td's and 28 int's his rookie year in the league. I think INT's are something rookies have to endure it seems.

Great to get your 1st win under your belt, even better that it is fairly early on during the season. that monkey on your back can get pretty big if you start of the season 0-6 or more. I think getting that first win will help him stay calm and collected.

Fortunately for the Rams, they probably have what is turning out to be one of the easier schedules the rest of the way. I think that will also help in his development and give him more confidence.

I'm not saying he is a lock for ROY or probably even be in the top 20 QB's. He'll have multiple games where he'll be just plain lousy. Part of that will just be his inexperience, and part will be that the Rams still don't have enough talent to help him out. But he will have some games where he'll look like a future All-Pro too. I think the Rams are definitely a team on the rise and if they draft well/make good acquisitions via free agency/trades, there is no reason why they can't be competing for the division title in about 2 years.

But.. but.... he's a system QB. He's never taken a snap under center.

lol yea I hate when "analysts" use that excuse because technically every qb comes from a system.

Loved this quote:

“I just love when he comes over to the sideline and you guys have no idea the competitive look in the man’s eyes,” coach Steve Spagnuolo. “That’s encouraging.”
