"I knew we could play with these guys," said Cincinnati's Isaiah Pead, who ran for 169 yards. "We need to stop beating ourselves. As a team, we left everything out there. We gave them our best punch. I think we took their will early. I think we were the better team today. Instead of beating them, we beat ourselves."

Cincy did play their hearts out but they weren't the better team for obvious reasons.

I've been saying that UC is NOT an untalented team. This is a team that played in BCS bowls the last 2 seasons, and despite a coaching change, and some graduations, they have some talent.
Pead is a good player - could likely play for OU. Collaros is a playmaker. This is much the same D that gave us fits in NORMAN with Sam as QB.
I Pead played a whale of a game.

that defense gave up 50+ in Norman, didn't it?
Gilyard had a ton of yards on us though. we had to take out Pike to stop him from passing on us...
they may not hit 10 wins again this year, but i bet they are close

well they'll have to go undefeated the rest of the way to hit 9 and then win a championship or bowl game, so my guess is they'll settle with close

Everybody always beats themselves when they play us close. We never play worth a ****. Its a damn shame.

He's just a player that is disappointed. Probably not the best time to be talking to him. Ask him how feels on Monday and you will probably get a better read.

I hope he's right and they are a super-duper awesome team now and win the rest of their games.
