Look about two steps slow from the outset tonight? No explosion and nothing on the swing passes. To me, he looked slowed by an injury. Any insights? I know we ran him hard the first three weeks....

Man, I was thinking the same thing - not very productive when we needed to run the ball.

his legs were dead by the 2nd half.

He was very slow looking after the first quarter. Poor effort on a few of the swing passes that were catchable. Maybe he was a little dinged.

No doubt, but he didn't look right from the first series.

Then his *** needs to get in better shape. High schoolers play both ways and special team and look like they have more energy at times. It actually looks like Madu has energy when he is in.

Yea middle runs were cut back by poor blocking by the guards though

He's a good move the chains, short yardage guy. No longer an explosive playmaker. That's okay, he's still doing a good job.

Murray is a super stud but also human. He was just having a bad day. Could be under the weather, girl friend problems, IRS, who knows. This too shall pass.

He's still an explosive playmaker, but tonight he didn't have that speed + elusiveness when he did have daylight. Madu looked more explosive; I gotta believe something was off.

Been that way since 2007, in my opinion.

Hasn't been the same since that injury at Lubbock in 07.

I thought he seemed distracted or something. Dropped some balls that he just didn't seem to be able to hang onto. Hope he is okay and just having an off day.

Yeah, the drops were definitely uncharacteristic.

Ehh...maybe. He had some stellar games and plays in 08. @ Kansas State, @ Oklahoma State comes to mind. He certainly is a much better between the tackles runner than his freshmen year.

I just remember being on the 20 yardline 6 rows off the field when Murray had that TD run against texas in 07. Biggest explosion of speed I have ever witnessed in person. After that, I just see that Murray never got that back after the injury. Still a great player. But I just wonder, "what if".

The speed is gone. He's bulked up to a bruiser, which is fine. Our new home run threats are both hurt (Finch, Clay).

Didn't have much running room, but I don't think he's ever going to be a "make you miss" runner anymore.

He double caught every pass he did catch and he bobbled some....

Yep, I couldn't believe is lack of catching ability tonight. Not like him.

No excuse. If he wants to be big time he needs to play big time.

He has been a little bit better or maybe = to Madu for the season. This with an extra game over Madu.
