I think if you have your own field that you should not be allowed to make the visiting team play you in your states professional teams huge stadium filled up with rabid fans from whatever state you're in.

I don't think they made us.

They wouldn't be rabid if we just took care of business like we should have! Instead we gave them crack by letting them hang in there!

I'm glad we didn't play them at their home field. We might have lost.

The Bengals do not own the stadium; it's a county owned stadium, my high school football team drew 47,000+ for a game there, you can rent it for events, we need the money.

I feel much better now, thank you. I just didn't like that big huge stadium full of Bearcat people hating on my boys. :P

I've never liked Cincinnati much. I'm sure there must be some nice people there, but the teams come across as very thuggy.

What was the deal with them playing music on third down when we had the football and trying to get OUr plays in? Isn't this against NCAA rules? We can't have like cow bells and stuff per Big 12 rules right? ASU just tied Oregon at 14 by the way! 7 left in the 2nd!

No idea. I think you can draw a penalty for playing after they break the huddle.

And I'm pretty sure they instituted that rule because of The Pride quite a while back.

It's just like when OU played KU at Arrowhead a few years back. They do it because they can sell more tickets than the home stadium can sell. Usually it is a better situation for the visiting team than playing in the smaller on-campus stadium. Especially for our fans traveling to play there, think of trying to buy tickets for a game at a Tulsa sized stadium.

Our stadium seats more people than Arrowhead. If I remember correctly, Arrowhead is about 78,000 including suites.

It was a KU home game that they moved from Lawrence to Arrowhead. The other Big 12-North game in that schedule rotation was played in Norman. KU's stadium holds right at 50,000.

FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland is the only NFL stadium with a listed capacity larger than Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The new Meadowlands and Cowboys Stadium are similar size and Arrowhead is a 3,000 smaller. There are 11 college stadiums larger than FedEx Field.

They did it for money, as posted. That venue set a UC record for attendance at 57,000. And they sold a ton of beer in the stands. That's why the fans got so rabid.

Who would want to play at UC's stadium in the heart of thug territory? Made the mistake of driving from the zoo to Riverfront for a baseball game when we were visiting my parents back in Ohio. Interesting trip on surface roads -- went by UC and then ran a red light near a park because I wasn't about to stop for a red light in that area. I had forgotten my Dad's warning when I was younger to always take the interstate and not Vine which intersects with Martin Luther King drive right at the campus. Not a nice area to drive through to say the least. There are areas around Ohio State that are not much better.

People should be thankful we live in Norman and are part of the Big 12 when you compare where some other major universities are located.

Chris Rock has a stand-up routine based on that.

I also heard that we got some kickback for having it at the Bengal's stadium as well.
