So has anyone come to the conclusion why gameday is at Boise and Oregon State and not 'bama and Arkansas?

CBS has chose the game. Not that it always matters. But typically they like for Gameday to be the "featured" game of the day. Meaning Musburger and Herbie call it.

The SEC has already had a 2 gamedays. Auburn and Alabama.

This was Boise's one chance to have a gameday at home, so I'm sure they wanted to give it to them today.

OU-Texas next weekend, should be.

Florida plays at Alabama, but bama has already hosted a gameday.

The only reason I can think of is that they have done 2 SEC games already. Also, I think Arkansas/Bama is on CBS, so they might just be pumping up their own telecast of Boise/OSU.
