Wife is in Italy this week so I'm a single dad with three little ones. Went to the liquor store and purchased some Ardbeg 10 year old scotch and picked up some Sam Adams Octoberfest beer. Hope to enjoy a Montecristo A after the game, when the kids are asleep.

Kept the menu simple with some various cheeses, meats, and crackers, so I can enjoy the game and the kids can self serve buffet style. Personally, I'm looking forward to the smoked Gouda, pepperjack cheese, and black forest ham.

Bring on some college football.

A good buddy of mine just opened a new BBQ place here in aggieland so I'm gonna pick up a few chopped beef sandwiches, smoked sausage, bbq sauce, and maybe some of the sausage cheese and crackers. Got a few friends coming over to watch the game at my place and the beer is on ice waiting for me to get off work. It's gonna be a good day, tater

Today I've got the chicken breasts and thighs slow roastin' over the coals....just basted in my homemade bbq sauce and turned over onto the meaty side. mmmmmmm, and stuffed jalapenos.
