I need help. Basement flooded last Saturday. Insurance adjuster is coming out and I freaking out whether I am covered or not.

I do have sump pump on my basement. We did not lose power. As far as I know the pump was working. I do have a back up of sewer and drain rider on my policy.

My basement is ruined, furniture is ruined, and I'm sick over if I'm goin to be covered or not.

Take a deep breath. You're gonna be fine. It's just stuff.

If they give you a hard time have your policy reviewed by someone.

I think its gonna come down to what caused the flooding . If it was a backed up/broken line you should be ok . If its weather related and If ya dont have Flood Insurance Ya may be SOL

My daughter used to live in Lincoln. Family went home to Okla for Christmas, 2 weeks. Got back and discoverd 4' of water in their basement. Washer hose broke. Fully covered, had to move out for 4 weeks. Did learn to turn off the washer supply when leaving town after that.
Oh, they had a heck of a water usage bill too. :)
