Hmm, wouldn't mind Leach in Oklahoma, even if it's for a mid-minor (five billion steps below mid-major)

3 out of 5!

I'd need more than Leach got paid at Tech to live in Tahlequah.

Yeah, but if you want to take NSU from mid-minor to mid-major status, there's no better first step than hiring Mike Leach.

If that happened, I think NSU would probably get more attention than TU, and maybe even more than pre-Pickens OSU.

Leach would never go there in a million years, but God, wouldn't that be fun?

Next time you are in Lubbock/Hell drive with your eyes open. If the world needs an enema (and it does) they'll stick it in Lubbock.

I was offered a job at Tech. I chose Tahlequah instead. Sic Em is well known for talking nonsense on a regular basis. Furthermore, as if anyone who would who purposefully spend any time Waco should be taken seriously when discussing a city's virtues or lack thereof.

My Wife evidently saw this thread as she was shoulder surfing by me and tonight asked me if it was true that Mike was gonna Coach in Talequah. I told her it's true. :D

Lubbock: Rains mud (which is interesting, but not necessarily a 'draw'), filled with not only Texans, but low budget Texans, flat, no trees, no water, effectively a baked pan of red clay, 10 hrs from anything.

Tahlequah: Green and leafy, nice little canoeing river right through downtown, filled with Okies, easy drive to Tulsa, OKC or Fayetteville/Ozarks, lots of lakes nearby, easy access to Norman for gamedays.

Other than ticks in the summer, Tahlequah wins, hands down.

I guess the Illinois has changed course a little since I lived there.

Okay, it doesn't flow 'through downtown'. Close enough for me, though. And no, it's not the Rio Grande through the Royal Gorge in Colorado. It is a lot cleaner than it's been in several years, however; and quite pleasant. I floated it twice this last summer. Once sober. Enjoyed both a lot.
