Seems like more high reception, single games, are occuring these days. Didn't Marshall have like 22, one game, a couple years ago

at first i thought, no way Moss has to have some crazy numbers.

Moss has a bunch of 5 receptions 130 yardish type games.

Rice always seemed to have a solid #2 receiver opposite him (John Taylor early, TO later) and they threw to the TE (Clark) and RB (Rozier) a lot in the 49'rs system. The Texans haven't really had those type of pieces around Johnson. As far as Moss, he was opposite Chris Carter most of his time in Minnesota and well, the Raiders are the Raiders. The one who I think might come the closest to that now would be Welker after being near the top of the league in receptions the past few season.

Rozier played fr the oilers.. Roger Craig was the runningback , went 1000, 1000 one season.. Rathman and jones caught a lot of balls

Craig, that's right. I don't know why I was thinking Rozier, I guess it was the fact that they had a Husker there, just couldn't remember which one.

And I think Craig was still playing primarily fullback when he went 1000 x 2, '84 or '85, somewhere around there. Though Walsh liked to run his fullbacks, whether it be Craig, or later, Rathman.

I'm not surprised A. Johnson has those stats. He is a nice blend of size and speed, and can be a possession type receiver or run past a guy on a deep route.

Moss has always been more of a deep threat guy, so he won't have a lot of high catch count games.

I think Jerry still has a few records that he can hang his hat on.
