Who is going to Cincinnati? What's going on for the weekend? Any tailgates or nightlife going on?

Have a group of 4 going to be mixing it up... Where is everyone staying and sitting?

Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter

Seating: Sec. 209

Side note... FYI- I was told by quiet a few people from Louisville, that the Cincy fans are some of the worst fans as they like to instigate fights when the other team is out waring there gear. Be safe!

They are from the same state as those savages from Columbus so this doesn't surprise me.

I played baseball in the same conference as Cincy when they had Youkilis. Cincy fans are very low rent thugs. Huggins was a fitting basketball coach. Because they are thugs in a rough area, there are probably a few that are bad news but in large part I wouldn't expect anything too bad.

Ill be there. Hope to see lots of Sooner fans. Ive been to Cincinnati many times for Bengals/Reds games but never a Bearcats game. If those experiences are any indication, the fans can definitely be thuggish. Bunch of fratty drunks and/or wannabe thugs looking to talk crap.

But after the game, the scoreboard always speaks for itself for the SOONERS!

I'm there. I'm in Columbus on bidness. Driving down fer the game then back up. Anyone got any extra tix? I need a single. I don't smell bad and provide witty commentary such as "That's gotta hurt!" I do need a ticket though.

Like I said in another thread...Cincinnati is a 'pro' town...so, yes, the mentality for UC games is that of a Bengals game. You will be treated like Steeler or Raven fan by the home fans. I apologize in advance. Hit up Montgomery Inn's Boat House east of Great American Ball Park on Merring Way...you won't be disapointed.

For those of you staying in Louisville, I can highly recommend Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in the ground floor or The Galt House downtown. Not the cheapest, but a damn fine filet.

Also, if you have time in the evening, 4th Street Live downtown is worth checking out. Lot's of cool little pubs and live music.

Mt. Adams area for evening libation and general frivolity. Hopefully Bearcat fans are not like the local Bengals fans-- overall a bunch of thugs-- don't know if that is the Ohio or Kentucky influence...

Jeff Ruby has an awesome steak house -- it's expensive, but well worth it! Cadillac Ranch is near Fountain Square, right next to the team hotel. There are several places to eat by Fountain Square also. The Bearcats have their rally on Fountain Square at 11:30 am. Newport on the Levy is just across the river and is also a nice place to visit and eat at.

Not all Bearcats fans are bad guys......I will agree that most are though! My husband will be wearing his UC gear while me and my son were our OU stuff.

We are on the west side of Cincinnati and are thinking of buying tickets for the Sooner Bash -- is it worth spending $40 a piece for tickets??

Does anyone know if they will be selling alcohol at Paul Brown???

9/21/2010, 02:06 PM
THIS guy isn't going:

CINCINNATI -- Tight end Ben Guidugli (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=187854) will miss a game Saturday against No. 8 Oklahoma (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/201/oklahoma-sooners) because of a sprained ankle, another major setback for Cincinnati (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/2132/cincinnati-bearcats)'s struggling offense.
Guidugli got hurt during a 30-19 loss at North Carolina State (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/152/north-carolina-state-wolfpack) on Thursday night. Coach Butch Jones said on Tuesday that the senior won't be available for the game at Paul Brown (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=506169) Stadium. It's unclear if he'll have to miss more than the one game.

Losing Guidugli is a big setback. The senior is rated one of the nation's top tight ends. He was fourth on the team in receiving last season.
Junior Adrien Robinson (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=232822) will take Guidigli's spot on some plays.
"We'll mix up our formations and personnel groups," Jones said.
The Bearcats (1-2) already are missing receiver Vidal Hazelton (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=183226), who tore a knee ligament during a 28-14 opening loss at Fresno State. Hazelton was the Bearcats' leading receiver and kick returner when he got hurt, an indication of how much they were relying on him to replace Mardy Gilyard.
Cincinnati's offense has been a big disappointment for the defending Big East champions, who haven't been able to protect quarterback Zach Collaros (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=232807) or get the passing game going. Jones said running back Isaiah Pead (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=377970) is expected to start against the Sooners (3-0), which could take some of the pressure off Collaros to run the ball.
Pead is the top returning running back from last season. He sat out the second game of the season, a win over Indiana State, with a sprained knee. He got into the game against North Carolina State but didn't carry the ball.
"He was still limited," Jones said. "He's had a couple of extra days to heal and we practiced on Sunday and he looked great. He's going to be full-strength, ready to go. You take Isaiah out of our offense, and we're a different offense. He's an individual we're going to try to get the ball to more to make plays."

I'm sitting here at my brothers place listening to all the crap that these UC fans want to talk. My sister in law just announced she will be wearing all black (UC colors are black & red). Wonder if I should ask her what color the UC pall bearers will be wearing? :>)

I told them all if the are nice after the game I might let them touch my signed Bosworth jersey

But the funniest part is my nephew who thought he would be cute and weat a Texas shirt when we arrived last night. He went on the pizza run and saw a group of Sooner fans who told him how awesome his shirt was!
