I like Larry Jones, we have given to Feed the Children in the past, and now they send me address labels on a very regular basis, love it!!

Actually, they have one of the best ratings among charities for the amount of each dollar that actually goes to helping people, not salaries or overhead. And I like that they focus a lot of their efforts right here in the good ole US of A, we gots plenny enough hungry people here that need good food, especially kids.

I prefer the Regional Food Bank. Their overhead cost is only 3%, so 97% of their donations go for food and supplies such as diapers, toilet paper and other things that people can't afford. they also have the backpack program for school kids that may have a hard time finding a meal on the weekend. They fill up the backpack with foods that are easily prepared, no cooking involved, and send it home with the kid on Friday, the kid returns the backpack on Monday and they refill it...if the kid has younger siblings at home, they send a backpack for the little ones as well. 1 in 5 children in Oklahoma doesn't get enough to eat.
